On "The Bachelor" — a television show that features 30 women vying for the love of one man — it can be hard for contestants to truly stand out.
But if there was a contestant on this season of the long-running series who managed to make a sustainable impact all season long, it might just be Rebecca Kufrin (known as "Becca K." on the show).
After all, Becca K. tricked resident bachelor Arie Luyendyk, Jr. into getting down on one knee to "propose" to her on her very first night, received the first one-on-one date, and artfully endured a dramatic showdown in the Fantasy Suite episode in which her ex followed her to Peru in hopes of winning her back.
But some fans already know the outcome of the finale, which saw Becca K and Lauren B. vying for Arie's heart. We're going to reference that outcome now, so read on with caution.
The show seemed normal at first. He proposed to Becca K and she said yes. But, things didn't exactly result in a happy ending for the pair.
It looks like Becca K. and Arie didn't actually stay together long after the finale.
Becca and Arie initially were together. But after the January 1 "Bachelor" premiere aired, Arie called Lauren. By the weekend of January 13, Arie broke up with Becca (with a camera crew present, which, as Reality Steve put it, is the "d--- move of the season") to get back together with Lauren.
Their shocking breakup was filmed and played in full on the finale, much to the distress of die-hard "Bachelor" fans.
Shortly afterward, Arie and an ABC filming crew were spotted outside of Lauren B.'s family's home in Virginia Beach.
At the same time, Becca K. posted a few decidedly dour shots to her Instagram story, including a bouquet of drooping flowers paired alongside the word "mood" and a selfie with her cat that she captioned, "At least she still loves me."
Though other contestants have posted fun shots of their dates with Arie on their Instagrams, Becca neglected to choose any photos with him besides the premiere.
Becca's friend and fellow cast member Caroline called Arie out during the "Women Tell All" episode.
Though it wasn't clear exactly what she was referring to, Caroline confronted Arie during the "Women Tell All" reunion, warning him that she "knew what he did."
"This whole time, you've said that you are here because you are trying to find a wife," she said. "I know what you did, and I don't know how you could do that. I just really don't understand. But I really hope you found what you're looking for."
Long story short? Becca K. and Arie Luyendyk Jr. are not together.
But you might not want to forget Becca K.'s face quite yet. Although nothing has been officially announced (and these sorts of things are always liable to change at the last minute), Reality Steve reported that Becca K. is in talks with "Bachelor" executives and has been seen filming in her home state of Minnesota — which is about as clear a sign as any that Becca K. could be a prime contender for the next Bachelorette.
