How To Make Salmon Cakes Recipe - Quick and Easy Salmon Patties



Spicy Salmon Burgers

Ingredients
MAYONNAISE SPREAD:
3 tbsp. nonfat mayonnaise
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. whole-grain mustard
SALMON BURGERS:
salmon fillet (1 pound), skin removed
1 tbsp. dijon mustard
1 tsp. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. grated fresh ginger
clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
2 tsp. olive oil
whole-wheat hamburger buns
tomato slices
red onion slices
leaves lettuce
Directions
  1. To make the mayonnaise spread: In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, and mustard. Mix well.
  2. To make the salmon burgers: Remove and discard any bones from the salmon. Using a sharp knife, finely chop the salmon. Place in a large bowl. Add the mustard, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, and pepper. Mix well. Shape into 4 patties.
  3. Warm the oil in a large no-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side, or until the salmon is opaque and no longer bright pink.
  4. Serve on the buns, topped with the mayonnaise spread and the tomatoes, onions, and lettuce.
